With so much cruelty in the world today, sometimes one epoch speaks louder than most.

Below is a Facebook wall thread on my profile from today. The link to the story about the animal cruelty issues revolving around the preparation for the 2012 UEFA soccer championships referenced is HERE.

Michelle : Robert, will you help spread awareness about what they’re doing over in the Ukraine? Maybe post a link on your Reviewer wall? PLEASE?

Michelle : I’m not gonna shut up about this.

Michelle : Or do I live in a world where people don’t become filled with rage when they find out that stray cats and dogs are being burned alive in a mobile incinerator to ‘clean up the streets’ for a stupid soccer game? Because if I do, I will kill myself RIGHT NOW.

Me: I have been following Gadaffi’s burial in Libya. What’s happening in the Ukraine? Wait, they’re doing what?!

Michelle : They are killing tens of thousand of strays to clean up for the big soccer game in 2012. But what’s really breaking my heart is the use of a mobille incinerator that goes through the towns. They collect the animals and throw them in while they are still conscious. The money that was SUPPOSED to be used toward controlling the animal population is not being used for the proper purposes. They are greedy and corrupt, so now they are using methods even more cruel than before.
