Amy Lynn CD review

Review by Kim Acrylic

Amy Lynn’s self-titled EP is a real shock.
The first reason is she appears on the cover of the Album to be an Alanis Morissette type or Joan Osbourne even.
Then I crank up my speaks and heard something that blew me AWAY!
It’s complete Motown at its finest!
Sounds as if Diana Ross, the Supremes and Janis Joplin were in an orgy and made on hell of a Motown, old time singer out of a white wavy haired New Yorker!

Songs like “Mother Freedom” are real hard-hitting power songs, whilst songs like “I kind of thing he does” Are definitively more Ballad/Love song inspired.

And how can I forget her FANTASTIC remake of Phil Collin’s “Against all odds”?

Nostalgic for any 50’s 60’s droop/Motown fan to check out!
