“the best flavors of the bunch” barf bags and all…

About attending and being on a panel at San Diego Comic Con International 2013:
“It’s a grind. But it’s good. You sell a lot of stuff, merch …”

What do you like most about it?
“Probably the diversity of the people is the highlight. You get people from Seattle, Chicago, all over the world. It’s pretty inspiring.”

Tell me about the big 20th Anniversary run coming up.
“The main thing is it’s the first time we’re back in La Jolla in 5 or 6 years. We’ll have shows at 7 and 9 but no midnight show…

Why were you gone?
“… There were noise complaints”

(Spike gets back on the subject of the scheduled show:)
“We’ll have Billy West doing a Q&A, barf bags, glow-in-the-dark clappers at the door.”

“Billy West usually charges $20 for autographs.” (… But this will be included with the entry fee.)

“We’ve scoured the world. It’s going to be grand. I’ve curated festivals all my life and this is the best flavors of the bunch.”
