A photo of a girl I took at a downtown San Diego art event sometime in the early 2000’s. At the time there were still a few older loft buildings converted from commercial or sometimes something warehouse-like, but used now for intermediate purposes as they await the wrecker’s ball in the path of development. This girl was talking to someone on the phone and the way she stood off to the side away from the crowd caught my attention and I took a photo of her. It’s possibly 2004 although I’m not certain exactly or even remember the approximate address of the party, just that I was downtown in a dingy old medium-height (possibly 4-story) building. RR
