GROWING MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR INDUSTRY USHERS INTERNATIONAL
CANNABIS BUSINESS CONFERENCE TO SAN FRANCISCO

Business leaders and legal experts to offer guidance for budding entrepreneurs in
advance of expected legalization in 2016

San Francisco, CA (February 9, 2015) – With three Pacific Coast states voting to
legalize cannabis for recreational consumption, and California expected to do so in 2016,
savvy businesspeople are already planning for the impending multi-billion dollar
cannabis industry.

Alex Rogers, CEO of Northwest Alternative Health and producer of the upcoming
International Cannabis Business Conference said the political and business landscape for
cannabis is growing rapidly, and the trend is likely to continue. “Colorado and
Washington are already generating millions of dollars in new revenue from marijuana,
and a new study by economic consulting firm ECONorthwest estimated that retail
cannabis sales in Oregon will generate approximately $38.5 million during the first fiscal
year, with revenue expected to increase.”

The event will feature well-known headliners including guidebook author and TV host
Rick Steves, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, renowned advocate and TV commentator
Dr. Carl Hart, Ph.D., among other legal experts, investors, entrepreneurs and even
accountants. For a full list of speakers, please click here.

“Colorado and Washington State have already demonstrated the economic benefits of
legalizing cannabis and Oregon and Alaska will soon benefit from new jobs and new
revenue brought into the states’ coffers too,” said Rogers. “California, with its economic
power, will clearly be the worldwide leader in cannabis commerce if the state passes full
legalization in 2016.”
