My L.A. County Birth Certificate, It’s Official

by Reviewer Rob

I went to the L.A. County courthouse by LAX the other day, the one a few miles north of where I was born, to pick up a copy of my birth certificate. Never had to do this before. Amazing how streamlined the process is. I paid the parking meter, took the elevator up to the sixth floor and as I waited in line I filled out a brief one page questionnaire. Paid $28 per copy to the lady at the window after she confirmed my mother’s maiden name and then wa-lah, she printed out this beautiful embossed document on blue parchment that signified I was real and that I do in fact exist. Twentytwo minuted later I was back down in my van and the parking meter still had two hours left on it for the next customer. God bless America.
