Mellow At First

by Reviewer Rob

There was this 7.2 in Northern Baja today about 12 miles south of Mexicali, not very far away from San Diego. I was on the internet at home in Point Loma when it started and it felt mellow at first but just kept going and getting stronger and the rumbling got louder. When I got outside of my apartment (I didn’t want to get buried if the building fell in) I saw the trees in our courtyard swaying in no breeze and the water in the pool downstairs was sloshing out onto the concrete. The rumbling felt like it lasted about 30 seconds. When it stopped some sideways waves kept the building going gently back and forth and then I heard the churchbell down the street ring a few times.

It was SO FUN! 😀

Here’s some photos from closer to the epicenter.
