Resurrecturis

Review by Tim Fennell

I love metal, I fucking love it. I love it when a band comes out, breaks the mold, pushes the envelope and says “fuck all” and finds a way to defy what we have heard and learned previously of metal so far, kicks us in the face, and crushes balls. Heavy, it’s got to be heavy, it has to be loud, it has to make me want to drive my car fast, and it definitely has to make me want to drink beer and holler. Resurrecturis comes to us all the way from Piceno, Italy, and isn’t the metal band I was hoping they were going to be, sorry. I’ll tell you this though, they will be. I can sense this band hasn’t been together really all that long based on what I heard, but also I can hear serious serious potential, especially on “The Fracture” and “The Hate”. You can definitely see that the bands gel is kicking in and they are maturing as a band together after listening to those 2 songs. What I do especially enjoy is the talent and precision of the drummer for this band, he is lethal, his name is Alessandro Vagnonl and i will be keeping my ears to the ground for him, his talent is tremendous and regardless how I feel about the songs, his drumming is spectacular, judge for yourself by listening to “In Arts Death”. Check them out at myspace.com/resurrecturis and I think you will see what I mean. I will bet that this band will be the metal band I’m looking to hear more about, in around a year and another CD together. They have the makings to be deadly, and I can’t wait to hear the next one.
