Beach Style

by Stephanie Freedman

This season in beach style is definitely keeping up with the reoccurring trend of boho chic. Pacific Beach has been seeing a lot of floral prints with earth tones. Shirts and dressed are very loose fitting and flowy. A common trend I have been noticing is the high wasted pencil skirts from American Apparel. Another trend are the very long dresses that extend all the way to the floor. Accessories have been a little less on the conservative side when it comes to colors. Although the style has been leaning toward the more neutral hues, glasses and bags are continuing to show the bright summer time colors. I’ve been seeing a lot of girls wearing a very classic look ( like a classic black dresses, or jeans with a basic white tee) and matching it with teal, yellow, or red sunglasses and large matching bags. I’ve also been seeing a lot of scarves as well which is a perfect accessory to play with while bringing in the fall. Popular stores to pick up all these trends are Pink Zone and Closet in PB, Whatever Boutique in El Cajon, and American Apparel in PB. With these trends in mind, one should be able to put together a very fashionable wardrobe. The beauty of fashion now, is there hasn’t been a call for name brands lately, which allows shoppers to remain stylish and thrifty at the same time. All these stores are very affordable and these trends can always be found at a local thrift shop which can make your style search a little more fun and interesting.
