I was at Modern Times Brewery today, trying out a taster of Lomaland, their new canned release on tap. Their marketing says it \u201csmells like hay, pepper and fresh sunshine.\u201d It was named, it says, after the \u201cbrilliantly crazy utopian community that was the first settlement built in Point Loma… \u201c Modern Times is of course behind Les Girls in the North Rosecrans area of Point Loma.<\/p>\n

My assessment? It’s a perfect choice for the craft beer novitiate, especially one who is coming in from a life spent drinking standard sports bar tap like Bud or Coors. Make you feel right at home.<\/p>\n
