I confess to experiencing a bale-sized bundle of joy at the fact that American newspapers are dying left and right.<\/p>\n

Part of it is a technological inevitability. The Web is a much more immediate source of information, and you get to read ten billion takes on any given news story instead of only one.<\/p>\n

A dozen years ago in The Redneck Manifesto<\/i><\/a>, I said the biggest news story in America wasn’t racism, it was corporate downsizing and outsourcing. But America’s mainstream media, fueled by corporate advertising dollars, was all about race and said almost NOTHING about class.<\/p>\n

In the dozen years that followed, the middle class experienced economic genocide while the upper classes sold the country piecemeal to foreign interests. The poor remained poor, only they seemed to get more stupid.<\/p>\n

Instead of being brave enough to EVER mention the idea that social classes exist in America, fag-fag-faggity corporate journalists obediently kept silent on the subject. Instead, they drained the corporate coffers flying down to Mississippi in search of hate crimes.<\/p>\n

And now their cowardly silence has turned around and killed them.<\/p>\n

Good riddance, you journo-homos. I have more journalistic chops and less money than any of you, but I never felt so needy that I’d SHUT UP AND WRITE WHAT THEY TOLD ME.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
