In the middle of a presidential contest<\/b> tainted by racism and sexism, Barack Obama did something amazing today. He gave one of the most honest, courageous, and thoughtful speeches we’ve ever seen.<\/p>\n
It was unlike any political speech in recent memory. And not surprisingly, the media have almost totally missed the point\u2014reducing the whole thing to a few soundbites and hashing over whether he “did enough to condemn his pastor.”<\/p>\n
We’ve got to spread the word ourselves.<\/p>\n
