J Downs<\/h1>\n

San Diego independent artist J Downs has been on the SoCal scene for about 4 years, making a local name for himself with his fresh blend of hip-hop and live instrumentation. With the early spring 2007 release of his debut album All-Division and the winter release his second album Cali Shine, J has captured audiences with his new style reminiscent of The Roots, Everlast, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.<\/p>\n

J has performed at local San Diego venues such as Winston’s, Hennessey’s, Canes, and Qualcomm Stadium, and has also performed in L.A. at the Rainbow Bar and Grille and the Whisky A Go-go. Self-written and self-produced, his style is unlike typical sample-based hip-hop artists, and one that is not to be missed!<\/p>\n
