He was sentenced to death by hanging.<\/p>\n<p>Hussein, 69, was led into the courtroom by seven guards and immediately sat in his chair, refusing to rise for his verdict until Chief Judge Raouf Rasheed Abdel-Rahman ordered guards to force him to his feet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pics.livejournal.com\/reviewermag\/pic\/0000ws96\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pics.livejournal.com\/reviewermag\/pic\/0000ws96\/s320x240\" width=\"317\" height=\"240\"><\/a>(David Furst &#8211; AP)]<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Long live the people!&#8221; Hussein shouted as the verdict was being announced. &#8220;Down with the stooges!
