{"id":14,"date":"2009-04-19T11:57:00","date_gmt":"2009-04-19T18:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/reviewermag.com\/press\/?p=14"},"modified":"2009-04-19T11:57:00","modified_gmt":"2009-04-19T18:57:00","slug":"cd-review-dead-aisling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/reviewermag.com\/press\/2009\/04\/19\/cd-review-dead-aisling\/","title":{"rendered":"CD review: DEAD AISLING"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><i>Dead Aisling<\/h1>\n<p><\/i>by Megan Trihey<\/p>\n<p>Dead Aisling\u2019s flawlessly melodic, hauntingly hypnotic self-titled debut album is an essential trip for music connoisseurs who have been begging for a virgin sound amid this year\u2019s painfully mainstream batch of bands.<\/p>\n<p>The album\u2019s first track introduces you to lead singer Adam Richmond\u2019s forcefully gentle voice that will bite your ear one moment only to caress it the next.<\/p>\n<p>Without warning, you\u2019re launched into &#8220;Blood and Family,&#8221; the second track, a furiously catchy song that, while heavy, invites head-banging and table-top dancing.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve never been scared by an intensely dark and alluring song, turn off the lights and listen to track three.<\/p>\n<p>The chorus of the fourth track, &#8220;Song for a Darkened Sky,&#8221; will inhabit the caverns of your brain for days and you still won\u2019t get sick of it.
