Alex Rogers, CEO of Northwest Alternative Health and producer of the upcoming
\nInternational Cannabis Business Conference said the political and business landscape for
\ncannabis is growing rapidly, and the trend is likely to continue. \u201cColorado and
\nWashington are already generating millions of dollars in new revenue from marijuana,
\nand a new study by economic consulting firm ECONorthwest estimated that retail
\ncannabis sales in Oregon will generate approximately $38.5 million during the first fiscal
\nyear, with revenue expected to increase.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nRick Steves, Congressman Dana Rohrabacher, renowned advocate and TV commentator

Bios of organizers:<\/em><\/p>\n

Executive Producer Alex Rogers<\/strong> is a businessman and prominent cannabis law reform
\nactivist in Ashland, Oregon. He is CEO of Ashland Alternative Health, and Northwest
\nAlternative Health, medical cannabis clinics that help register patients with the Oregon
\nMedical Marijuana Program.<\/p>\n

Rogers first produced the Oregon Medical Marijuana Business Conference (OMMBC),
\nselling out venues in both Ashland and Eugene. Following the success of the OMMBC,
\nRogers started organizing the first International Cannabis Business Conference (ICBC), a
\nunique event bringing in activists and entrepreneurs from across the globe. The first
\nICBC was held at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland in September 0f 2014 while
\nthe 2nd is scheduled for the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco, California, on February 15th
\n& 16th, 2015.<\/p>\n

Program Coordinator Debby Goldsberry<\/strong> has 25 years as a leader in the medical and
\nadult use marijuana industry. She co-founded the Berkeley Patients Group (BPG) medical
\ncannabis collective in 1999, directing its growth over 11 years, with 70 employees and up
\nto 1,000 customer visits per day. She is a board member at California NORML, is a
\nformer board member of the Marijuana Policy Project, and teaches procurement and
\npatient relations at Oaksterdam University. Ms. Goldsberry is currently the Ambassador
\nat Magnolia Wellness in Oakland, CA and at Bloom Well in Bend, OR, two model
\nmedical cannabis dispensaries.<\/p>\n

Content Director Anthony Johnson<\/strong> is the Director of New Approach Oregon, the
\npolitical action committee responsible for Measure 91, the successful 2014 ballot
\nmeasure that legalized and regulated marijuana in Oregon with just over 56% of the vote.
\nAnthony was the Chief Petitioner and co-author of Measure 91 and during the course of
\nthe 2014 campaign, helped formulate campaign strategy, fundraised and served as the
\ncampaign’s primary spokesperson. Anthony has extensive experience working in both
\npolitics and business and he first co-authored and helped pass successful marijuana law
\nreform measures while a law student at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of
\nLaw. He passed the Oregon Bar in 2005 and practiced criminal defense for two years
\nbefore transitioning to working full-time in the political realm.<\/p>\n
