Reviewer gives a big thanks to Seattle resident Kris Kegley who came out to Peter D’s Nightclub last night with a few friends and his dad to play a half-hour to fortyfive minute acoustic set on his travel guitar. He mixed in covers like “Fat Bottom Girls” with his own songs among them being “Have Some Faith In The Devil.” The 8-o’clock crowd was a sparse to medium-sized crew of grizzled locals that quickly grew into a full house, a boisterous younger audience of twenty-something couples etcetera that had come in early to hear music while some of them set up for a 30th birthday party along with the usual 9-o’clock karaoke. After his set Keg hung out for a while with his dad and friends and talked to a member of the crowd who was an ardent fan of Hank Williams III and who, like Keg, was also a native of the state of Washington.
Meanwhile I drove downtown to the House Of Blues to see a band and photograph the lovely ladies out and about in the Gaslamp.
Thanks Kris. You’re welcome anytime. RR
