The main one being a type of shyness. I just always preferred to be the one &#8216;behind the camera,&#8217; so to speak. So up to now I&#8217;ve always just declined the request or found a way to avoid it.<\/p>\n<p>But our Tash Jones has been contributing to <i>Reviewer<\/i> as a news and feature writer on and off for a while now and she was persistent in pressing me for this interview, saying it was for an assignment for her studies at University. So I eventually relented. <\/p>\n<h4>A Snippet:<\/h4>\n<p><i><b>When (1996, I\u2019m assuming) did you start Reviewer?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yes, finally at about the age of of thirty I decided the only real way I would be able to do what I really want in print was if I started my own paper. In the summer of 1996 the Republican national convention came to San Diego and I remember wanting to get that first free issue of <u>Reviewer Magazine<\/u> out on the street in the coffee shops, bars and stores before all the big wigs arrived. The convention being in town was only a coincidence.
