O.C.T. is a Lake Tahoe based band that recently moved out to Southern California, jamming’ every step of the way. In their self titled album Outta Control one will be greeted with an explosive in your face sound that catches your attention the minute the introduction breaks out. With the albums upbeat, high energy mix and relatable lyrics, every song has the potential of becoming an anthem fit for anyone who needs a background track to promote a good time. Whether it be playing this album at a party or rocking it while your driving in your car this is a perfect collage of tracks fit for the young, hip demographic that Pacific Beach has to offer. What stands out about this album aside from the initial impact of the sound, is the how every montage of lyrics these boys spit at you have this unexplainable grace and flow that has been personally lacking from the underground hip hop community. This group has passion and drive and has a kick ass time on their way to the top which is portrayed eloquently in their lyrics. Standout tracks include “Involved” which has a very memorable hook and “Supposed To Be” which is accompanied by a melodious piano background that compliments their smooth hip hop sound. If you can relate to trying to make something of yourself, raging with your friends, and having the tendency of sometime getting out of control, this is definitely the album for you.

[http://www.myspace.com/outtacontroloct oct@oct-music.com]

SBF

http://www.reviewermagazine.com/oct/ O.C.T.
